2000 and 2001 KLX300 thumper.
I'm looking for a bike for the wife and really don't know anything about these machines.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

I had a 99' KLX 300 and it was a great bike. Great beginer bike but with a pipe and the right rider can go just about anywhere off-road. The suspension is soft for jumping but corners really well and has a low seat hight. I would also recommend the XR 250 since it has no radiators to get smashed up.

Thanks for the feed back. I figured I could use it in a desert race I do every year. My WR is set up for jumping in the dunes and the race is 100 miles of rocky desert and it kick my ***.
