Looking for fairly novice place to ride around Calgary/Golden area

So I am finally getting the sled together and need to take it out and make sure it is not going to burn down during my avy course on the 12-13 of December.

Any suggestions??? This sled is new to me so I cant assume it is going to be okay without a good beating laid on it.

I was planning to head out the 28 or 29 of this month if anyone is interested in joining me.
