Looking for Donavan From Xtreme Polaris

Snow

It's interesting...this is usually the time of year that we always tried to do our Test & Tune. For the last few years, we've ended up postponing because the conditions were less than ideal. It seems like I remember riding right after Turkey Day more often years ago, but I'm not sure if the snow was really better or we just remember it more optimistically. I do remember a trip to the Range several years ago about this time of year when we brought back a whole trailer load of sleds and none of them still had both trailing arms straight. Once the weather pattern changes and we get some storms, it'll change in a hurry.

We can only hope, otherwise it's gonna be a looooooooooooooooong and boring winter.

Looking at the data at the Snotel site that's not far from the lower lot at RE, it seems the precip thus far is not irregular compared to a lot of years. The good news is that there hasn't been a year when the precip total didn't increase from Dec. 1 to Dec. 15.

The biggest concern is that we don't have much of a base anywhere. We are going to get dumped on eventually, but it would be nice to have some hardpack. Hopefully places like RE will have a little more of a base than what we have up here in Eagle County.

Agreed, we did a road run up to Cottonwood on sunday and it was nothing but sugar in the trees.

Unobtanium, lol. We'll keep a spotter at the gate with a two way radio ;) Hot melty mozzerella sticks ummm. You could make a killing on the weekends with a (stealth) lunch-wagon up there:D

Don't mind Sledskiing...He was the lot "shut-in" :p or maybe beat up wrangling that turbo all day :)

See ya there when winter arrives...11 F and 4" of fresh on the N. front range hills, so it feels like....I'm back in Minnesota
