Looking for Breckenridge Riders

Use to live in Blue River for a few years, now living Silverthorne. I would be up for some backcountry riding. I also like to camp at the trail heads for long trips. It would be great to find someone else who also has a set up to camp over night. Thanks

Is he recovered? First season on a turbo taking him places he shouldn't be :)

Yes, I'm mostly recovered, and back on SW for the year. I've been out on the YZ450 a few times this fall. The leg only hurts if I stall on the single track.

The problem last March wasn't where I was on the turbo, it's where they put the damn cliffs in Crested Butte.
Honestly, where else are there cliff that high up, right in the middle of a bowl??

I'm still trying to figure out how to do the camp-out thing. I have a travel trailer, but have no way to pull sleds and the trailer all together.

CO will let you pull two trailers, but up to a certain length. I don't know if the first trailer has to be a fifth wheel or not. Also you would have to see if they make a hitch for your rv trailer (to pull your sled trailer). I just converted my enclose trailer. I pull the sleds out and set up shop. Once you start doing it you won't go back. Less diesel, no motel rooms, and you also don't have to fight for a parking spot. Also your more tempted to trail ride at night with a full moon. If you go that route, don't forget to insulate under your trailer. Most people forget that they lose a lot of heat because of the wind blowing under it.

Im up for some longer trips as well, recently bought a 08 21foot enclosed so i could house a guy or two for a stay over at Rabbit ears or something like that. Lets get a group together and plan some trips when the snow starts to fall.

Hey Grant

Have you already converted your trailer over? I am always wondering what people did for heat?

Im just using it for sleds, but if i were to go to Rabbit Ears for a couple days i would just bring a blow up mattress and a trailer safe heater, its vented in four places so the new trailer safe heaters would be perfect for it!

Just get a sled deck, then you can pull a normal trailer for camping.

I've got a pop up that's good for nights where it's not going to snow a bunch, but it's a pain to put away full of snow.

got a sled deck for sale btw.

Hey Grant

Whats a safe heater? Do you mean a heater with low c02 or are you talking about a brand/model?

Alright now thats its closer to the riding season, and guys are riding on baldy already, now im really calling Breck riders! Once we get a good snow up here, a bunch of us should meet up and ride! Let me know what you all think!
