looking for better skis for 04 viper

i was wondering what skis would be best for an 04 viper . I could use a little more flotation in the deep snow . maybe some better control as well .

seriously consider simmons

I have a pair of simmons gen1 flexi skis. The simmons gen2 are quite a bit wider. I haven't used the gen 2, but I don't think I would like them.

However I can tell you that, by putting simmons skis on my sled; It turned it into a whole new sled. Great ski. just make sure your alignment is straight.

you can check your alignment by measuring the back of the ski from center to center. Then measure towards the front, center to center. You can usually get them within an eigth of an inch through adjusting your tie-rods.


FYI Simmons cooling fins work well also. They funnel the snow that is kicked up from your carbides into the track. better than having to take down, and put up ice scratchers. They're alwayse there.

How about the stock Apex Mountain Skis. I have heard good things using them on the Mountain Max/Vipers. I have Simmons for a few years. I bought a set of Apex Mountain Skis this year, we will see when the snow flies.

I think the 05 Vipers came stock with the same/similar ski as the stock Mountain Apex ski???

You can find them cheap to. I think SAWYER on here has a set for sale.
