looking for a riding area

We are looking for a riding are for the first weekend in march. We could have a group ranging from 10-30 riders with experience possibly ranging from never seeing a snowmobile to intermediate skills (according to the Dan Adams survey). We are looking for an area that has rentals, lodging, restaurant on site along with diversity for the riding skill levels ie.trees, hills, trails. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Areas that we have rode thus far include Cooke City, Mt Stanley, ID Grand Lake, CO and Togwotee,WY.

Here is a link to a lodge in logan canyon (about 2 hours north of salt lake). They have rentals on site, Groomed trailhead at site w/ option of guides. Lots of different terrain to ride from there. There is no restaurant on site but i think they offer catered food or a kitchen on site. The drive to town for food is about 30-40 min with a lot of options, or 15 min the other way with very few options.

There is also Uinta recreation but I dont know much about the riding or lodging there.

I would suggest the Daniels Summing / Strawberry area.

The Beaver Creek Lodge does offer food, they have a cook who lives there all winter and cooks for guests, breakfast and dinner. They can do lunch to but most people just get sack lunches or ride to a cafe to eat. And the food at the lodge is dang good too!

How is the typical snow at beaver creek? Also, for anyone who may be involved in the transportation/trucking industry this event is an annual snowmobile conference held by Pittsburgh Power. Would ideally like to have some attendance from locals in the industry to ride in their back yard.

Just SE of Heber City about 1.5 hours from SLC airport. Daniels Summit lodge is right on the trail system and the are some great areas to ride close by for both beginer and intermidiat riders.

Here is the link to Daniels. http://www.danielssummit.com/ This would be a great area for you guys. I am planning a trip there in Feb with my family. There is everyting you need onsite. The area is also very easy to get around and has tons of different terrain.

Will definately keep you posted. We're still trying to come up with an overall plan. Only real issue i'm seeing with Daniels summit is their rentals appear to consist of 550's. Our core group are pretty experienced but it doesn't make for a very fun ride pulling sleds out all day long just because they're underpowered.

Go with Smoot at beaver creek. Your into good riding right out the door. And he knows allot of sweet spots for all riders to test their abilities. The area will not disappoint...

I know you can rent summit 800's at beaver creek as my buddy did that once last year.

The little bit that I know of the terrain at Daniels Summit (I'm far from an expert, I've only been up there a couple times) There isn't any terrain up there that I could have any fun on with a 550. Well, maybe that's not fair, I'm not sure there exists any terrain anywhere that I could have fun on with a 550, but if it exists, I know I definitely haven't run into it on my couple trips to Daniels.

550's put...put....put

daniels summit lodge is a great area, but the 550's they rent are dogs. I have rented the 550's twice for a friend and those sleds can not go off trail hardly at all. An intermediate rider would be VERY dissapointed.
