Looking for a place to holiday and ride

My Dad, two brothers, and I want to go on a back country snowmobile trip, but our wives and girlfriends want to go on a "holiday". They want to shop and see some cool stuff. Where should we plan our trip so we can all be happy?

Open to suggestions and might be interested in a guide. The girls won't be riding.

I bet Whistler would be awsome. I'll suggest it but, that's over a 20 hr drive for us. I don't think My Dad would do it. Anything further east?

I've been looking around on the net and it looks like Banff is the place to take the girls. Area's around golden would be the closest place for sledding I would think.

Now we just need to find a place to stay. And someone to ride with. We are willing to pay a guide as long as the price isn't too high. We hopefully would be riding for 5 days. Probably some time around the last week of January.

Golden or Revy for #1Hwy, or Crowsnest Pass area for a little closer and further south. Fernie BC is nice as well.

Let the women shop in Kelowna, and you go sledding at Hunters range (Enderby). Hunters is a bit over a hours drive north of Kelowna. http://www.huntersrange.com/

Banff is a great place to leave the ladies; to stay there however, is expensive. Invermere is a nice little town with lots of small shops. There are plenty of B&B's, cabins, and resort/hotels to stay at. Probably a spa somewhere too. But more, Silent Pass isn't too far away, and Golden is 1.5 hrs up the road. Do the wives ski? Panorama is 20 mins from Invermere with lots of beginner/intermediate runs; and a nice village right on the hill. Other than Banff, Canmore, and Invermere, the next big shopping area is the Okanagan. Take your pick!
