I've narrowed it down to 3
Honda Foreman with powersteering
Yamaha 450
Polaris 500
It will be used mainly for hunting and plowing snow. Who has what and wouldn't have what? This is my first 4 wheeler

I Bought the King Quad.

I talked to the local dealer (Who I have bought a ton of Sleds from) and he has two stores and sells a ton of them. After a lot of talking I finally got him to admit which one he would buy. He told me without a doubt he would get the Suzuki. I asked him why and he ranked the 4 wheelers (Polaris, Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha, & Suzuki). Bottom was the Polaris. He said he would see it soon. The other brands that he had he said that he might see them in for a service call. When he sells the Suzuki he will never see it again. I went with the Suzuki and couldn't be happier. I want reliability. JMHO:beer;

Ditto, I bought my 08' King Quad and couldn't be happier. Zero problems yet and the only thing done to it is 27" Swamp lites.

I have a Yam Grizzly 660 and a Kodiak 450. Both are 2005 models. Other than oil changes and cleaning the airbox, there has been no maitenence. Zero problems. I plow snow too, go with the bigger one. 660 kills the 450 in that catagory. Plus you will have more fun ripping around an a bigger one.

If your gonna have extra passengers get a can am max....I have one and my 2 small girls and the wife ride on it together all the time...very comfy. Mines a 06 and has been excellent!!

Two trouble free Yamaha's for me!

05 Kodiak 400 - Has been used for a snow plow rig since new. It has outlived the Warn plow that looks like beer can that has been folded, spindled and mutilated.

09 Grizzly 550 with EPS - Much nicer ride with Electric Power Steering (Recommended), High/Low range, Differential lock, and better seating position than the 05.

You'll get as many answers here as a Ford/Chev/Dodge/other topic....or a Polaris/Cat/Doo/Yam topic....everyone has their favorite. I have two Canned Hams....love em. My best advice is to go sling a leg over all the candidate machines and get at least a little spin on them to see what you think. If the dealer won't let you get them dirty, at least hit a curb at 10mph or so with each one to see which suspension suits your needs (seriously....I run over parking blocks at 30mph just for fun on the way to the car wash after a weekend of muck). Oh, and try a Can Am 500 max.

I have a 2002 sportsman 500 that's never seen the dealer since new except for a broken CV joint this spring. Preventive maintenance goes a long way. I ride it hard! I ride with Polaris engineers and test riders and it's been sunk twice. But there are other good choices. Ride them and see what you like the best.:beer;

How would you like a brand new "09 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 V-Twin. I bought two of them 2 months ago and they are the best I have been on. Bought one for myself and one for GF! She is gone so I have no need for the other one. $6250 delivered out west. Check out the Kawasaki it rruly is a excellant machine with tons of power and lots of features that are standard as opposed to options on others.

get the honda we have a honda rancher and it destroyes complete work horse. great 4 wheeler. don't get a polaris i haven't ridden one yet that i liked.
