Would love to find a turbo Nytro to buy that has been built to the following specs or as close as possible. MCXpress 240 or 280HP turbo kit, Skinz front end, Skinz Air Frames, Timbersled or Kmod skid and light weight build to get the RTR weight down to 550-575 at most. Let me know if you have one to sell or know of where one is.

I "think" you'll have some trouble finding one in that weight range, might be able to find one on the upper end of that target weight. I have a naturally aspirated nytro that I've done all the non turbo mods you listed, and then stripped anything else I could off and I came in at 555 RTR.

When your looking at turbos, the turbo adds weight and usually they have a high capacity fuel tank which increases your RTR weight.

I made a build thread so anyone who wanted to put their nytro on a redneck diet (anything you don't NEED goes) could refer to it. You can find it here: http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3083306&posted=1#post3083306

Best of luck in your hunt! I'll post again if I find one that meets your requirements.

I sent you a PM regarding this, I think I have the answer to your quest.

I have two Nytro's,

#1 2008 Nytro with serious lightening = 540 RTR

#2 2008 Nytro with semi serious lightening with MPI Supercharger at 601 RTR

If that helps. I would sell Boosted Nytro for 10k if asked but I am not trying to sell it.

Is that Nytro Naturally aspirated? Good Work!

Thanks for the info guys. Justin what is a "reasonalble" weight for a boosted Nytro?

Well assuming that your not looking at spending 20k+ on carbon fiber sleds, I think you could see the 575 mark you were shooting for with a regular gas tank on it but your gonna have to pack extra fuel which would bump the RTR weight back up. The higher HP kits (240-280hp) will weigh more than a low boost kit, but the power to weight ratio gets better.

With my limited experience with turbos I would think you could pick one up around the 575-600lb range fairly easily.

I'll do some more research when I get some free time and I might be able to answer your question more accurately.

extra track is a killer for weight on these sleds . mines a 173 3 inch and its 575 with 10 gallons of gas . it has a carbon tunnel though and is front mount turbo . im sure i could drop 30 pounds buy going to a 162 2.5 . 15 pounds on the track alone !

Yes but I am not going to do that to the boosted Nytro as I am afraid it wouldnt stand up to the power. Less weight usually means less reliability (coughs) Polaris (coughs)

Wondering if you could PM me or post what all you did to drop the weight. I thought I had covered all bases short of carbon fiber and a $1500 chromoly sub frame.

153 or 162?

Please and thanks,
-Justin

P.S. Not trying to hijack the thread, I feel like it's still on topic.

Couple of things right off the top, i have an aftermarket ported tunnel - BOSS modified seat - undertunnel exhaust with a very small car resonator as a muffler - Blow molded skiis. Best guess is about 12 to 14 lbs off what I see in your pic. Ported track (162) of course.
