Longer carbides Must see a bunch of trail time. I HATE my stock carbides, freaking things are dangerous in the mountains. I need to take and grind them off!
X2, first thing I do is get rid of the carbides and install just steel wear rods.
Too much damage can occur with carbides and immovable objects.
Thats just where I ride though, if a guy spends all his time on the trail I could see using the carbides
Don't you find with steel only wear bars they wear out quickly just riding up the odd road here and there?

How or why are carbides dangerous?
Stick a carbide on a rock or log during a turn or climb and you will understand. I've seen many a trailing arm and a-arm bent from sticking a carbide. Sometimes you get a personal cartwheel. No carbides on my sleds.
