Ken at shockwave has told me some guys are replacing the stock bolt but have used longer bolt--DONT doo it they bottom out in the helix and can cause it to break --:eek:

How do you know??? :D

ken from shockwave had a dealer that did it on 3 without good results--i think they tried 30 mm long and stock was 25 mm but dont quote that--didnt really write the lengths down:confused: i think when they bottomed out he didnt know it because of the pressure from the spring it felt tight ???

got rid of the torques bolts on my secondary long long ago in exchange for hex headed bolts. makes it much easier to change out the helix and spring. no problems in over 1200 miles. i guess just make sure your replacement bollts are the exact same length as the stock ones.
