long tracking a indy style Polaris

hey i was wondering how much it takes to long track a indy style Polaris. Mine is the 121 and i would like it to be at least 136 or more. What is all involved and the most cost effective way to do this. Any replies are appreciated.
Thanks, Jon :D

i am putting a 159" camo on my ultra right now. if you live near kelowna b.c i have a 136x2" camo challenger and suspension that would bolt right in for $500. you would also need a tunnel extension to do the job right

Long tracking indy

I have a 144 x 2 stock polaris track off of an 04 edge, beyond that all you need is rail and tunnel extension. it is also recomended to get a longer bumper so that you are still attatched to the stock mounts on the tunnel. let me know if your interested in the track, i will also throw in the drivers.

There are lots of ways to go about it. To do it on the cheap, I would suggest getting some rail extensions. You could probably go to 144 pretty easily from a 121, as I have seen 136 RMKs stretched to 156 with rail extensions.

You'll probably want a 2" track. To accomplish that you should go to 8 tooth drivers up front, to give you the clearance that you need. Yes, you'll also want a tunnel extension to go with it. You should be able to find most of this stuff in the swap, else check out TracksUSa or SLP...sounds like these up top have some gear as well...jmho

I did a 95 xcr that I had siting around so my brother in law could go out west with us a few years ago. If you go any more than 1.5 lug you will have to switch drivers as the others said. The tunnel has no taper to those so you can have an extension bent up or I just used a cut off another wedge tunnel and it worked out nice. I found a sks 136 skid cheap and just had to make drop brakets for the rear. All said and done I had $300 in it with track and all. Make sure you drop a couple teeth on the top gear at a minmum. He could hardly walk at the end of the day from that rough riding thing, but he made some impressive climbs that shocked most of us.

Depending on where your at I have a complete 136" set up off my 95 XLT SKS. It is the complete skid with suspension and rails and a 136x1.75 track. You can have the whole set up for 300 dollars and it will bolt right into yours.

It all depends on how deep your pockets are to be honest with you. I love the wedge style chassis and have been ridin em for a long time. I put an edge rear skid under mine with 8 tooth anti ratchet drivers and a 156 x 2.5 paddle, 3 pitch camoplast challenger extreme under it. But i have a tison rolled chaincase to. If you have the money thats the way to do it

Pretty cheap if you use a 2" track. A couple of pieces of alum. flatbar, a small sheet of .080" alum, then a trip to a welding/fab shop to weld your rail extensions on and bend your tunnel extension. Good to go!!

This is a 136" skid that's been set back & extended to a 162". I did that about 3 seasons ago and it's had 2 other (younger, more aggressive) owners since I had it. Still works great.
