lol careful of the lefty throttle

Whoever was filming that must have been on serious amounts of crack...that is officially the shakiest video I've seen!!!

Been there done that

Where do you get that was due to a lefty failure:rolleyes:

My goldfinger lefty did exactly the same thing. Conditions were nearly identical to what these guys had. Deep powder, cold day. Notice he was stopped just before it happened. My bet is the powder was on the cable that was exposed. He stopped it froze, then the next time he hit the lefty it stuck. Also with his pull to the left he would have grabbed it.

I agree on the tether. If you have a lefty get one. (telling myself to do the same)

PS I held on long enough to hit the kill switch. Or man would it have been UGLY!

same thing happened to a friend, bent the handle bars and the thing took off like a rocket, since it pulled the cable tight on the left hand throttle

Puzzies need left hand throttles!!!!!

at least you dont need to bring a chainsaw to knock that tree down and bring it home to keep urself warm lol

ps that would be suck if it were for my rmk!

Frozen throttle is why i took my "Lefty" off. OEM throttle safety devices do not work properly, which results in what happened in the video. Would be nice to have a left hand throttle for tricky situations, but I'm afraid of the consequences.

Totaled a sled worse than that video cause I wasnt wearing my teather. Almost totaled another sled for the same reason. Ask Brad W about the lefty throttle, he has a good story.:D

i have a lefty still in the box, forgot i knew how to ride without one......and scarid to use it

CORRECTION!
What resulted in happening was the nimwit did not use his tether and it ghost rode into a tree.
I bet he still has his lefty, but I guarantee you he wears the tether now... dats fo sho.

Learn to ride without a lefty, it will make you a better rider.;)

The title to this thread kills me... HAHA

I've never used my left hand other than clutching a toy

Those ZXs are tough sleds--good thing it wasn't a REV:rolleyes:

I had a guy drive over me once--hit the Lefty instead of the brake--dufus:face-icon-small-con

You are right, you're a much better rider if you can ride without it. But I will tell you it is nice to have a lefty when you are riding a nice spring day. Downhill side hill on hardpack to the left. Endless area below with a lot of trees. Nice to nurse it across the hill have control of your brake and be able to bump the throttle also.

In this video, as soft as the snow was there was NO reason to use the lefty. Other than the guy never learned to ride without it and couldn't.

on real cold days, no matter what brand i have at the time, my lefty will stick.its hard to go w/o one though after having one for awhile.especially if your a short sob like myself.
