loading ramps

didnt know where to put this so here it goes
i bought atv ramps couple months ago for my atv
its a trifold but knocked the pins out because it wasnt wide enough
we were at home depot the other day and i thought what if i bought plywood cut it to length and width and some how secured it to the ramps
would this work for a snowmobile ramp using all three
seems kind of sketchy but lets hear it

if you use custom ramps can you put pics up please

Oxlite. A bit spendy compared to other brands, but they're durable and well-built. 8ft compared to the 6ft most ramps are, makes loading sleds/bikes/broken sleds/broken bikes easier; not as steep an angle. Make sure to tie the ramp down.

Mine gets a -lot- of use.

Isn't it time to put the track kit on that bike yet? :cool:

Yep, I have the same one

The aluminum tri-folds don't work unless you cover the aluminum with something for the skis to run up. Carbides really bite hard on the aluminum and either the ramp jumps or the tail gate flips up....I know this from personal experience. Run a couple of strips of old box liner up the ramp where the skis run and your good to go....but be careful backing off so your skis don't hook or go under the top edge of the ramp...... a total BIOTCH to get out of that position :beer;

"Cheap Ramp"

I've got a six inch lift on my truck and some serious mudders thus my tailgate height is up there. I opted for the cheapest and best solution I could find, which was a 9ft+ aluminum tri-fold off ebay, that I riveted some super glides on.

Full ramp cost was about $245 ($100 for Superglides, $145 for Ramp off eBay) or so. Beats the $400-600+ factory made ramps that were to short I was looking at. Cheap does come with a price though, after two years of use, I've started to rip out some of the cross bars, so I'm having my welding buddy fix some of the bars before the season starts, but else it's worked great. "Light" (mind you I ride a Yamaha!), easy to store, and lock up in the bed while riding. That and if you damage the superglides it's super easy to pop them off and put on some new ones..

Check out discount_ramps on eBay to pick up the ramp on the cheap:
