So I'm thinking more and more about boost but before i pull the trigger. First and fore most Im looking at the sibler turbo. Question number one is if i got the waste gate that i could dial it down to 4 pounds of boost could i run good 91 octane and not wore about det? I know ill turn it up to 7 or 8 pounds on good snow day and plan to run av gas mix. Most days i won't drop below 5000 feet and if i do its all trail ridding in. Question number 2 is how long are you guys running on a top end before you replace pistons and rings? Just want to know what I'm getting into before i pull the trigger and still have to decide if i want to keep the 163 or drop to 154. I know theres a lot of info in here and i did some digging but didn't find everything i was looking for. Thanks for your time!

6-7k and up elevation @ 7# you can run pretty much straight 91 if the tuning is dialed.

throw a little av/race/klotz hightrate, whatever. and you would be rocking for unloading @ 5k for the stock 7# kits. thats a nice fun level then you dont have to dink with your clutching turning the boost up and down lots. set it and forget it.

Thank you very much. One more questions for your great people has anyone tried running terra alps racing "turbo head"

first av gas is 40 -60 cents more a liter than premium a turbo kit is 5000 min. the extra cost to run straight av is like 20$ more a day u ride if u cook your motor its gunna cost u 3-4000 dollars u already spent 14000 on just buying the sled heck supper after sledding usually costs me30$ + anyways. u see where im going with this running premium in anything more than a stock sled that already requires premium is a bad idea and a small extra cost. if u cant afford to run better fuel dont waste your money on a turbo because your gunna get stung

also do your homework on these kits out there because there could end up being some very important reasons why some kits are cheaper than others. not to mention having a kit that doesnt run smoothly can be very frustrating and popping reeds and springs off rave valves isnt cheep or fun to fix hopefully this helps

I know one person that installed this kit and it had wires in there harness hooked up long and shorted out the coils. They took care of it. I do now what your saying tho because i herd that the fuel controller on the boon docker kit is 100 times better.

Also have people say the arocharger turbos seam yo crap out faster? I don't know that's why I'm asking questions.
