Thought we made it REALLY CLEAR last November how this would come down. Everyone had MONTHS of advance notice.

The Free Memberships would have LIMITED READ/WRITE capabilities when the forums converted over to paid members.

Right now you can read any thread in any forum.
Within that thread you can read the first 50 posts.

When you want to read past the 50th post we ask you to become a paid member and help support the site.

I think you typo'd that. I think you meant "help support your other business ventures."

This has been posted on several other websites,

"Christopher is now the sites owner, also owns a pay site for LDS, and I don't trust him that the new servers and money he's asking for are not subsidizing his site AVOW. Funny how when he purchased that site it went to a pay site and now this. Hmmm. There are copys of documents on BCR that shows christopher and brian being the owners of that site now that were immediately erased when threy were posted on SW".

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page it will tell you who owns Snowest forums.Harris Publishing.Christopher owns a company that manages the forums.

Seriously, i've never heard such a bunch of crybabies.

-it's not about the money, it's how they did it...
-other forums are free, why not SW...
-Christopher is pocketing the cash...

Whatever, to me it sounds like a bunch of lame excuses. Then there's the folks who want a free site to run flawlessly, without ads, and as fast as google. Maybe if some of the people who spend every waking minute on here complaining about everything they possibly can spent a few minutes to clean their couch cushions and under their truck floormats they'd find the 83 CENTS per month to cover the sub.

Are you paying attention AT ALL?

There are ad banners all over THIS site.

It is still one of the slowest to load, regardless of all the improvements.

There is a LOT of evidence to suggest this is a money grab for Christopher.

The coup de grace is that the content has gone to the dogs, as has the traffic despite the propoganda you appearantly buy into.

There isn't going to be anything worth paying for except the archives.

NOBODY has EVER said they just couldn't come up with the money, NOBODY.

Talk about a stupid argument.
