building a pro from the bulkhead up....anyone make any lightweight steering parts? (wildchild???) Thanks.

CMX front titanium front arms and spindels look wayyy cool!,,,and different geometry,, not shure on that advantage tho!

I made some swaged steering rods for the pro. The two lowers and the one upper. Saved a whole .25 lb. Did it just for looks and to have spares.
Anyhow, I have one set available. Note: these are metric threads made to go with the stock rod ends.

What are you planning to build? I have a bulkhead I've been meaning to build from the ground but its one of those projects that keeps sitting on the shop bench..

Thanks guys.....looking more for the under the hood stuff(already have a arms and spindles ready to roll) ....probably not a lot of savings to be had but i have nothing now so i thouhgt i might as well see if the was anything under the hood that can save a little weight or even if it's just a better product then stock stuff.

John...already have my pro bulkhead......i understand the sitting around thing :face-icon-small-hap....I'll give you a call on the steering arms. Thanks.

I'm sure Wahl brothers would make you a titanium jackshaft and driveshaft, maybe 6 pounds for 1100.00 or so, and run the aluminium bottom gear for 1/2 pound, all titanium bolts would get maybe 2 pounds off for another grand+ carbon rails and wheels, 5 pounds maybe, Problem is this sled is so light that unlike older sleds the price per pound is very very high. You could kill off 5 grand really quick with carbon and titanium stuff and only save maybe 15 pounds at best, unlike my edge where the same money gets ya 100 pounds off...imho

You don't need to remind me of the good ol days of $100 per pound of weight loss :face-icon-small-hap
