Lightweight Hood

How do you know it will not suck up into the track? Just askin, cause I bought one last year from a paid sponsor here and it sucked up and after sending the replacement for the one that sucked.

Mostly cause I built it. I will likely put a strap on it also.

Here is a pic. I think it may be to darn big might need to cut 6 inches off.

Nice Track! :face-icon-small-sho I was told to add a shim in between the snoflap and tunnel and that works, not sure why that makes a difference but I'll end up doing it and prolly strap the damn thing also.

You like that? 2.5 156. Should be nice. This darn thing makes crazy track speed and it needs the big lug. I think a 2.5 174 would be very cool on this or a 162 3". But i need to be able to ride the trail too and I like to ride fast on the trail. I have heard the 3" lugs don't like much over 45mph on the trail.

I did do an additional pc behind the flap. helps make it much more rigid where it bends the most. I also made mine out of .100 compared to the one I think you have which is 3/16.

I had a offer to trade for something else and I hope I don't get crazy and do it. Lets just say it has a turbo, a 174 lightweight skid, lightweight front. I want to do it. But. . . .

I think I would do the big chute and forget the trade I think there is a lot that this motor(1100t) is hiding, at least with all thats coming out for it the future looks promising. TD is now talking a big turbo that will put out over 400hp at low elevation, wow that is crazy hp!

Just like last year, in general lots of aftermarket talk about upgrade kits with modified stock turbos and new big turbos. Only one company had that on the hill most of last winter, Evo Big Chute kit. The step up kit is the Super Chute, different turbo completely with a dedicated tune for it. It will be on my 174" 2.5 that will be in the Edmonton sled show with either the 310 hp kit or the built motor and 350 hp kit. All depends on when my sled shows up. All the Evo kits are dynoed at 6800' elevation.

Already have EVO fan, and wrap, bag, and BRV will be coming. I'm gonna let the 2nd year of warranty stay and save some coin up for the following year for the BC. So I guess I'm already sold on it(EVO) just having fun watching the aftermarket with this mill, tons of goodies just don't have a ton of cash!

True. I don't have a ton of cash as well. I Like the idea of the Big chute as well. I too have most of the things you have done as well. I am interested in the BRV but i have a couple sitting on the bench fromm my previous builds that I may try. They are free. One is a bosch and the other is a Cheapo TURBOXS valve. From the sound of it either one may be leaps and bounds ahead of the stock valve.

If I could spend another $4000 on my sled I would have the big chute, Lightweight skid or maybe a 174 camo.
