lightweight for cheap

i just bought an 07 apex mcx allready built but it does not have alot of light weight parts yet.i spent 2 much on the sled and have 2 wait to mod.what r the cheapest ways 2 drop weight. does anyone have any used parts for sale

Pull all the bogie wheels out except the rear 2 and run scratchers religiously. Your hyfax will wear much better and you will drop 1 pound per wheel removed, also buy a YTZ7s battery and ditch the stocker. That's good for 10 lbs for under 100. bucks. The headlight windshields assembly can go and thats another I think 7 lbs. If you want lights mount up some Piaa's ore some small fog lamp. Next I'd be looking for a used seat, Boss or Mountain Mod.

What he said is a great start.

When you change out the sliders go to the graphite ones they last 2 times as long if you run without wheels. Stock Yami part and inexpensive.

I have run with one set of wheels right on the front rail radius no scratchers about the same weight though. I get about 1500 miles out of a set of sliders --however I don't ride much trail stuff.
