Lighting issue

Hey Guys,

My head light does not come on after start up, when I switch from high to low a couple times it will come on and stay on but when I shut down for say 10-15 min same thing again. Also the brake light in the dash flicker when Im ride only come on enough for you to notice that it is flickering and this only happens at say 1/4 throttle and above below that and its off till you pull the brake. Ive checked over the wiring and cant see anything . Maybe a relay issue??

headlight sounds like switch or relay issue. I would look to other things to isolate: as an example if it is only the lights then it is likely not the relay.

I had a similar thing with my brake light and it went away. It was either the relay (because I had relay issues and cleaned it well) or contact issues in the white plug with orange wires going to it in front of the gas tank. The brake light power wire is basically a pressure connection (two male contacts are sandwiched together within the white plug) and the contacts were corroded.

Could also be some other sort of wiring gremlin. I have the dim light on my hi beam that comes and goes at times. It goes out when I turn on/off the hi beam.
