i'd try and get a shovel with a d-grip. it makes digging so much easier and faster.

the longer handled D grip voile shovels are indestructable, and are really light and easy to pack. not really sure about the saws in the handles, I just bought a smaller saw for in my pack that works AWSOME when we gotta cut some trees down!
