LETS TALK NYPEX

For the Nytro vs Apex motor debate, I have kinda been talking to Paul at Impulse about doing a built motor. He told me between his fully built stroker Nytro motor and fully built stroker Apex motor side by side there is no comparison. The Nytro at 18psi and Apex at 16psi and he made it sound like the Apex destroys it.

I have no experince with either side by side just going off what Paul said. If I was gonna take anyones advice about the subject I would take his

nytro motor spins at 8600 apex spins at 10600rpm or higher, turbos like rpm, nytro is faster out of the hole, apex has more top end.nytro = lots of tork apex = lots of hp the apex benefits from the stoker kit more because of the higher rpms too,i have never had a apex blow me away but it is not stock motor by anymeans..:thumb:

I built one of these bad boys last year and its all in the details to say the least. From routing the cooling system to fitting the wiring harness into the chassis. I have hundreds of hours into mine, I used Scott at Diamond S for his header and front engine plates, he built the tunnel too. I dont think you will ever see 2 Nypexes even close to being the same, the little hand made brackets to the plumbing. Learned lots and cool project but going to run it for a few years. Shad

Real curious about weight?

i heard that the stock nytro side plates will work if you grind the inside a bit. is that true or is it better to go with the dimond s plates? what about motor mounts does the apex bolt right in there or do you have to fab them? im thinking of doing one N/A for now and just need some info thanks!!!

if i run this motor in the nytro chassis will i be able to retain the rad or have to go with a tunnel cooler? it will be N/A for now till the bank roll gets back up!! what kind of parts list am i looking at from the apex? i will have a complete one beside me when i do this.

does the nypex retain stock ccenter to center for clutches? thanks hornydevil for the pics i spotted some cheats to save me from using excess brainpower
