This toyota 1 ton with the cat motor in it has been a mythical creature for 3 years now. They had one at the denver stock show 2 years ago...but no cat motor. Toyota makes a hell of a smaller truck, but im not sure it will withstand the abuse that is put on larger trucks if it ever comes out...and at this point I doubt it will anywhere in the near future the way the economy and truck sales are

it isnt a Cat motor and never has been. the prototype or whatever they call it has a Hino diesel in it, but Toyota scrapped the plans since the economy is in the ****ter..

oh and I'd put my Dodge truck up to any of the new Tundra's as far as durability.

I don't disagree with you on the Cummins, it's definetely the best in a diesel truck! I switched to a gas truck because I don't pull anything anymore, but lookout Toyota is coming out with there own diesel truck soon.

Yeah, I agree with you there. If you're not towing much/at all then there isn't much reason for one. I tow constantly.

I've seen and heard the rumors about the diesel yota, they've been around for awhile. Would be interesting to see in person, from what I saw it didn't look real practical.

check us out at momsmotorsports.com. we haul sleds and riders from michigan to all points west. join in on a previously scheduled trip or book the truck for your entire group or club.

Oh, lets not go down that road. I traded my '05 cummins in on my '06 and would never have got rid of it except I wanted a 6 speed and lower miles so I could keep it longer. Can't beat the cummins engine, diesel reliability and mod potential. ;)

I agree they make a great diesel. this statement stays in my had about the cummins "a 300,000 mile motor, just to bad they put it in a 70,000 body."

Except its a 500k motor at least, my '05 had 122k on and the only thing I had to put into it was ujoints, my bro has a '98 with 233k, chassis has held up fine. Sure its not a Ford chassis and the front ends are weak on most, but its still a solid truck.

Heres mine, 2002 F-350 6" lift 37's. This is before I added the sled deck. Also has the edge with attitude chip for pulling the family fun wagon. (see below)

05 F250 lariat, 6" and 36x15.50's. EGR delete, ARP studs, SCT with innovative and looney tunes, 4" mbrp duals, afe intake etc. Yep its been in for motor work, i bought it with warped heads from a fella who towed with a big crappy edge program stuck it in, but thats life. Truck works awesome towing, haulin sleds around, or the street race. Boo hoo 6.0... its a fun truck.

Bigtruck, that's EXACTLY the truck I've been trying to find for the last few years.

Coxy, your truck looks awesome too. For a 6.0 ;)

i got 380000k on my 93 cummins, pretty much everything else has been changed but the motors still going strong. i also have a toyota diesel hilux, got it imported from japan. toyota has been making diesels for years and have some really dependable motors, i know people with over 400,000k on them. just not very common in north america.

watch this if you havent seen it already
