I don't have any to kick it off this time. Maybe next week but its melting away quick now. Our snow pack in the central sierra is 190% of average this year. Anyone else still ridin?

you better belive were still riding....our snowpack was probably about 80% if that.....probed it a week ago and there was 8ft depending on where you looked....
still sledding in bc no pics maybe this weekend

our snowpack is probably more like 35% right now, i meant when it was at its deepest it was only 80%
. but its still pretty fun out there!!!

The Rubies in NE Nevada are still PACKED! Buuuut.... had an avy come down and block the road about a mile down... USFS isnt too excited to remove it. We'll see how the next few days go as far as access?

Went for a quick ride after work yesterday to check out conditions. Still 6 feet of snow in places at 7,000 feet. Ridin in June in California, this is nutz! Heres a few pics.

Hmmm if I can figure HP rating with a 145lb guy carrying a 40lb pack with 29" snowshoes I'll get back atcha on that one. LOL

SUX!!!!... great snow and LOTS of it!Even a paved road with a turnaround right up to it! Too bad after they opened it up about 45 days ago 2 major avy's came down and blocked it about a mile down. USFS declined to re-open it... but we were pushing them and "braving" the pavement. Monday I went into their office to "harrass" 'em one more time only to find a MUDSLIDE bigger than the avy's came down even lower... Canyon is CLOSED!

Last Ride, June 12th
Wow, what a ride and what an awesome Day!
It was 60* and almost totally clear skies... couldnt have asked for much better for a last ride Ran into Summitrmk and some of his friends up there in their jeeps so that was really cool to chat with you guys and watch you get around.
The road is now totally melted all the way to Eagles nest and there was about 3 ft left at Clover Flats 2/3 of the super bowl still had good coverage on it, but it will be all gone soon with this heat.. I think we picked a good weekend to put them away, and still had some big smiles throughout the day also
and now for the good part... the pics
