Would you rather have a 2020 Pro RMK 850, 163, 2.6". OR Would you rather take a 2020 Pro RMK 800, 163, 2.6" with a full boondocks turbo setup?

Which one will have more power?

Well, if your gonna give it to me, I will take the 800. I can rebuild an engine, so warranty isnt the deal breaker. Now, I actually ride a 2020 850, without a turbo, because I just don't think its worth the money at the lower elevations I typically ride 5000-6500.

if anyone tells you their 850 pull a like 800 turboed please slap them in the back of the head for me

it really depends on, where you ride(elevation and terrain) and how you ride. can you wrench your sled or you go to the dealer?

there's no perfect solution applicable to everyone

That’s why I’m worried!! I want the power. But I want the warranty. I think the 850 is the most logical way for me. Even though there are some sweet deals on the 800s till the 31st with the rebate.

In that case, get the 850. I don't recommend that anyone get a turbo unless you like to wrench on your own stuff or you have a lot of extra cash to give to your dealer. Turbos always need tweaking.

I think you’re right. I’ll probably get the 850 and then turbo it in the future when I learn how these things work.
Thanks for the input!

Just one more Amen. If you're new at this - new enough to ask the question you asked - please don't even think about a Turbo, for quite a few various reasons. Buy a stock 850, get the extended warranty, and ride it for 4 years on the extended warranty. Then figure out after those 4 years which direction you want to head.

One more Amen, if you have a Ski-Doo dealer in your area check them out. They have since last year a Turbo with a warranty, no monkeying around with it, save those 4 years of your life.

Yes but the Doo turbo is a turd at low elevation. It is much more fun over 7000 ft so it altitude is a big factor to decide if you want one.

I have run a turbo on every 800 pro I’ve owned since 2011 ( 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2018) with no issues or tweaking. I have a 2019 850 as well as a 2020 850 Khaos, I find I ride the 2018 more because of the turbo. It’s hard to go back to N/A once you’ve rode a turbo‘d sled, and I don’t think the 850 turbo kits are dialed in just yet.
If you don’t have any seat time on a turbo, you will like the 850.

The 800 axys turbo are pretty much grab and go as long as you don't push it on the tuning and boost. a pump gas 4-8# boost at 7000+ feet plus is a lot of fun to ride and good reliability

I don't doubt that, but the op says he don't work on sleds and would like a warranty, then TeharAir calls the Ski-Doo a turd, but its really on pump gas and low boost. You won't run your's at low elevation on pump gas, 7000 and higher sounds about right.

I think I am going to follow through on the 2020 850 purchase. It was a 2020 snow check, 450 miles. 163, 2.6. It has a few nice accessories as well. $12,500.

Only reason I considered the 800 turbo is because I will be riding at 7,000 feet plus at all times. My buddy owns a dealer and they have a brand new 2020, 163, 2.6 800 BD turbo sled for $13,000.
