a friend bet me 20 bucks i couldnt do it. i did it. rode 5 miles up the trail. turned around and took it off. if you are gonna do it i would recomend using a support that goes under the seat. the ones going out the back get in the way anyway looks like chit but hey i got 20 bucks
I have been contenplating building a seat as well. As of right now I am leaning real hard towards not having a seat this season. I don't know how much a wet Arctic cat seat weighs but I am thinking close to 20lbs and I hardly ever sit on it. I have no desire to spend a lot of money on a lighter seat that my a** never sits on so I may be that white trash guy with no seat. I don't care how white trash I look as long as I am putting the high marks on the mountain.

I have also used polaris predator 90 seats in the past, they work well because they are a little shorter that a mx seat but a little broader in the middle.
