I have no idea whether or not this guy donated the cash. I have no stake in the argument, but I run a youth program and care about making sure the kids are taken care of. Lets make sure we do something good.

Anyone reputable want to take up a collection. If not I would be happy to start a paypal account to do this and I will provide tracking of all funds.

I got $35.00 ready to go. I dont need the "promise" of a shirt or anything.

Anyone else in?

So in order to make donations to the Children's Hospital, I guess you have to be approved by a board before the donation is accepted. I am always up for donating, but a bit more cautious this time around :(.

Did you have trouble live2ride? I can see why they might screen their donators to keep out the KKK and the like. L2R has a $500 donation from coloradosledstyle.com. Very generous and part of their gift in the name of the forum ride! I'm sure it will work out.

I did discuss this with Alan (VE69) and he agreed to donate a % of the forum ride raffle proceeds to Children's. Buy raffle tickets too!

ok just kidding...trying to insert a little levity to the situation.

Donations can be made directly to an organization if anybody has any concerns that is the route I would take

I have no dog in this fight, just been reading the comments. Coloradoman, do you have some "proof" this guy did NOT donate the cash? Apparently you are saying also that he is "not reputable", proof of that allegation? I suppose everyone is supposed to accept on faith that YOU are reputable :rolleyes:

Amazing how so many of you jump to conclusions based solely on the un-proven conclusions of others.

I think that he and many others are using the fact that Childrens hospital has no record of the donation as proof enough. I'm still waiting to see otherwise. :rolleyes:
 
Abominable- This is what alrevedup said in his explanation. "The donation was never recorded nor the the check cashed. The check should have been returned. I have nothing that was sent back to me. I may have thrown it out as advertising I dont know."

How do you interpret that? It sounds to me that they haven't received $$ if the check was not cashed. If you made a donation to a charity, and received a letter back from them, why on earth would you first assume it was advertising? My first assumption would be that it was a RECEIPT for my donation. He says the check should have been returned, but he hasn't received anything, but if he did receive something, then he probably tossed it in the garbage. I frankly can't trust guys who do business like this; even if no evil was intended.

Myself and Tudizzle have met him and he is a stand up guy, I have talked to him quite a bit on the phone. He also said he would provide receipt for the donation as well. He fished the local bass tourneys in the state.

You made our point, there has been no proof shown... From what I have heard, the donation has not been made, but is going to... We have all been led that it was made months ago... We'll see....

As Bushy mentioned, in light of all of this, I have proposed that we take 10% or 20% of all raffle proceeds and donate to Children's Hospital, with the remaining balance going to SAWS.

Holy **** all I wanted to do was try to help. I have no idea whether or not this was done. I am not accusing anyone, nor did I say Allrved was not reputable.

I work for the airforce.

My email here is chris.dombkowski@usafa.af.mil...Anyone wants to talk to me I am about 250% traceable at all times.

I am a sponsored tournament fisherman, and an amature at best mountain rider.

Through our youth programs we donate bears to the childrens hospital, food to care and share, school supplys and close to the springs rescue mission etc. So I have connections to help this happen, and will gladly provide proof throughout the process.

I said anyone reputable meaning that you guys dont really know me and could use a different mediator if needed to complete this.

The hospital has no record of donation, so I said lets make this right for the children. That is all I wanted to do.

**** me for wanting to be charitable. I stated in the first post I have no idea whether or not the money was donated, but those that want involvement in a donation are welcome to join me in organizing this.

I will create a paypal account and take screen shots if needed to prove this is being done. Or we can do a drive somewhere at one of the riding spots and take donations at which time you are all welcome to accompany me to donate it in person.

Stop casting stones.
