Trail and mountain riding. I'm looking for the best belt it's hard when others are twice as much as others. But willing to pay for quality and warranty is good also I've had good luck with dayco on a rmk but I've moved on to a 850.

The belts that doo is using are not the issue IMO..

The CAUSE of the problem needs to worked out... and by BRP for their loyal customers.

Some have no issues...but there are a SIGNIFICANT number of 2017 Ski Doo 850 owners that ARE having issues.

A belt that will 'hold up better' is just a band aid... kind of like getting more durable tires for a truck that has a front-end alignment or steering-gear issue... the tires are still going to wear... but a tougher tire will mask the issue longer.

Fix the source of the issues BRP !!

I've yet to see any evidence that anyone has found a definitive CAUSE of this very real issue.

K well that was a good spill, but not every one is having belt problems. My real question was good luck with belts and pros about quality and warranty.

I've popped three belts in 300 miles. I've added vents changed the clutching to shr specs on belt 2. I've switched to gates carbon. They are half the price and have good luck with them on my pro. Not sure what the fix is maybe a floating secondary? Possibly going with a blow hole too but would like to fix the main problem once we figure that out.

Another major contributor is motor movement.

I believe Racewerx is working on a motor stop.

Are you using straight skidoo belts

I run Carlisle Ultimax XS 821 belts. Half the price, one year warranty, last the same as stock IMO.

How is your break in

I never have "broke in" a belt. I personally don't have time for that, just bring two extra belts and enjoy riding. I do stop and let the belt cool down periodically throughout the day, but other than that, I don't do any other procedure for breaking in. So far I blew the stock belt at 300 miles and going on 250 miles on the Ultimax. These last 250 have been much harder on the belt. Much deeper snow
