Let's hear about your skinz a arms

Skins A arms and spindles

I ordered a set of 37" A arms.
Haven't received them yet???
Hope they get here soon!!!

I just got a email saying there not shipped yet.
Wondering what's going on?
I seen some pics of a sled in Minnesota that had them on
Has anyone else got there A arms and spindels from skins?

John has his on his 1100 mod already. Maybe their first run has been depleted?

I have, but I order with Evo. I sent them out to OneOldFart yesterday so give him week or so and I'm sure we'll get the low down like he always does.

Got a set from EVO too. On the sled. The spindles are really well made but about the goofiest looking sled part I have ever bought. About 3 feet tall and a foot wide of beautifully machined 7 series aluminum. I will need a little more than the 320HP I have now to push those thru the snow.

How are these treating everyone that have bought them and how wide of a stance did you get?

We have about 300 miles on the kit. It is a huge improvement over stock in terms of handling and front suspension bump absorption. The bump performance is largely due to the upgraded shocks and revised geometry.

In powder, it is a dream. The tighter steering angles make maneuvers easier.

It is very important to setup the rear suspension to get the most out of the Skinz front. It took us a few days riding to fine tune the rear (We have a KMOD Big Chute Skid).

Video will be posted soon. You will see from the vid how easily the sled handles in powder and how tight the turning radius is.

Work sucks...

Gene, are you suggesting I'm predicatable? LOL. I expect to get off of this drilling rig early next week. Once I have the front end kit installed, will do a 4-5 day ride and post results. Also trying a set of SLP's new Mowhawk skis (after a couple days on the concept front end) to see how they work with this chassis. I've always been a fan of Powder Pros, but not really a fan how they perform on this chassis (when they are actually on the ground)... stay tuned.

Depends on res orientation...

If I understand this right you can not use raptor shocks with the skinz kit. Is this corect ?

Not sure about the Raptors, but my Exits look as though they'll fit with the sknz frt end. As far as ordering - I ordered a set from EVO Powersports though JustBoostIt before they were on Skinz's website lol. If your Raptors won't fit, perhaps the res can be turned (different cap) to clear the a-arm.

Spindels

Every pic I've seen so far the spindels aren't powder coated.
Wonder why?
I'd like mine to be black like the rest of my sled

Installed...

Installed the skinz front end today. Bit of a PITA to do with a skinz front bumper. My EXIT X1 front shocks fit, but just barely - the spring collar has about 1/16" clearance on the top a-arm. Effective ski stance is now 35.5". Camber and toe set, will be riding 3 days starting Jan 17th - will have a ride report on the front end and SLP's Mohawk ski Monday.
