Until American business get competitive, it aint gunna happen. $40 for a pair of generic jeans? I buy Wranglers, which last a long time, for $19.99.

Sadly, this is the reason everything else is outsourced. We've priced ourselves out of the competition.

To a point, but we can never be competitive with third world countries that have no regulations or regard for employee safety, wages or for the protection of the consumer (I.e tainted products from China).

IF they will willingly put Melamine into milk (China Executes 2 For Roles In Tainted Milk Deaths At least six children died after drinking the adulterated formula, and more than 300,000 were sickened.) what do you think they will do to any items they are making that will be sent to the US?

thanks for the post; I have my kids reading where things come from and it's shocking to some of the relatives when they hear my five year old say "Yep, this one's made in China, too!!"

and $40 bucks is plenty, but thats 40 that isnt getting flushed!!
