Left throttle

Most install in about an hour or less.
The biggest thing with a lefty throttle is to take the time to get used to it and to where it site in relation to the brake.
They come in very handy in preventing something bad about twice or so a season, but are a handy tool to have way more often than that.

What kind are you looking at?

I have a gold finger and love it! Its one of the first things I put on any of my sleds. Installation isn't bad to do, just make sure the lever is on the bottom of the handlebars.

Been running one for 5 yrs. Feels 100% normal and I even find myself grabing for it if i'm on someone elses sled that doesnt have one. lol Gold finger is top quality and simple install.

I've never grabbed it on mistake. It works great on the bottom, most of the time when you are using it your holding onto the mountain strap with the right hand and operating the lefty with one finger. Eric

ive got a gold finger kit. the only thing i dont like about it is the cable dont stay for me so then i can have it held wide open but its only quarter throttle or so. other than that it was a real easy install

Had one on the old Escape....Liked it, no problems. Bought one fo the new sled...uh..two seasons ago. Never stuck it on. Never really needed it with the new chassis. I still suck at riding, but the new models have enabled me to not 'have' to have it to save my arse...

no need, just learn how to ride.
not trying to be an azz but just saying.

I agree, with the newer chassis you just need to commit to what you're doing. I had a friend 2 years ago that started his sled and the lefty stuck and drove the sled up a tree. Since riding the M's I've wished I had them at times but never needed one to save my azz.

you guys who don't need one must be awesome riders!!! know when we're sidehilling to the left for long periods i wouldn't give mine up for anything. or when your stuck against a tree and you need to pull hard left, you can put both hands toward the left and yank the sled over and gas it without having to reach over to the right side. i guess i figure it this way i don't need reverse either but i wouldn't leave home without it:) i would suggest that if you run one to also have a tether, i know i do...

goldfinger is awsome, when i bought my new sled the end of last year i rode two weeks without one. I could barely ride since i got so used to having it available

I'm left hand retarded and picked up a sled with a Goldfinger on it last year, I figured that would be the first thing to go but after using it once in a tight spot I decided to leave it on and I am slowly getting used to it, other than a very tight pull it works good and I can see where it is useful but be careful when using in reverse;).

i find on the goldfinger if you put a finger in between the bars and the throttle lever you can control how much throttle you get and make it work in a much smoother fashion...

Feel the same way.............

I needed one on my old edge..........the M......not really !

There's those weird sitituations where it would be nice, but for the most part I can get by.

Honestly, I dont understand how some folks use them. I find I need both hands on the bars to make a counter steer work !
