left hand throttle issues

My uncle bought a 06 rmk and he has tried to put the throttle logic left hand throttle from snobunje on it and has broke 4 throttles in the process of either drilling them or when they make it past the drilling they brake as soon as we pull on the lefty. They always brake in the same spot, on the bottom of the throttle where we drilled. We use the snobunje template every time, it seems the Polaris throttle lever is no where near as pliable as the other ones we hqve done. We have put these on all the other sleds we have owned without ever having a problem. Anyone else have this problem and what was the solution.

Sorry i cant help but my advise. Dont add it. God has sent you a sure sign that its not ment to be!:alien:

Chris Burandt and Brett rasmussen say left handed throttles are just another part to break while riding and ruin your day. :face-icon-small-sho

True but the gold finger can break and not interfere with your stock throttle at all. It also really depends on where you ride. A lot of people ride up relatively flat trails to the powder so no problem, no lefty needed. I ride on retarded off-camber trails that can be packed down a bit to get to the POW. When they're packed, it's hard to get the sled up on one ski and sidehill so I usually ride the skis flat and lean way over the rail. It only comes in handy on a left to right off-camber situation in my opinion.

Which is exactly Why we ride with them.

I took my Gold Finger off for 1) I never used it, and 2) the bracket on the stock throttle was doing weird things, such as activating the TSS when I closed the throttle. I did find the bracket bent, but it still came off.

I've never had a problem with Goldfinger leftys... Perhaps try one of them if the Snobunjee is giving you fits:beer;
