:confused:Lava Mountain Lodge has a Guide Permit, in fact it is one of the best existing guide permits issued by the US Forest Service. LML is allowed to trailer or leave from the lodge. LML is allowed in more areas than any other guide permit in the area. LML's permit allows LML to run all the way to South Pass (Lander area) over to Pine Dale, the Dubois area up to Togwotee and includes Austin Peak and several areas for off trail powder excursions. Due to conditions LML has been recommending two other services including Togwotee and Brooks and has sent customers to both. There are different areas that different permits are allowed to go and it is up to the customer to decide. LML will be offering trips from the lodge soon when conditions improve. LML has had a guide permit for six years. LML looks forward to serving clients and until then LML will recommend the two others "known to be the best" and the customer can make the decision. For guiding and overnight progressive trips LML can take you to the most areas of any permit around. Feel free to contact LML for recommendations or for guided trips.
