Late season riding

Where is everyone's favorite late season spot? Whats your guess how late we will be sledding this year? I really hope March keeps on dumping, or I think we might be done by mid-late april.

My fav is where the snow is not rotten. Likely in the trees somewhere, they get real fun late season. There is no guessing on how late the snow sticks. We could get hammered next week with 4 feet, who knows. If we keep getting 40-50degree temps don't count on much more, it goes QUICK.

Flattops is always good late, Vail can be, I Just groomed Spring Creek for 5 hours yesterday and it's still good. Any riding areas you can drive to that are at a high elevation could be good. I've seen years where we were riding 2-3 feet of powder in mid May and then like last year when I put my sleds away in early April and the yard here in Frisco was bare the first of March.

This is the info I was looking for! I would love to be riding super late into the season, but this year it isnt looking good~!!

High elevation trailhead or unload is key. Have had fun rides on Memorial Day weekend before on average seasons. Watch snotel sites and go from there. Also look for roads that are plowed early that get your truck up high. Have had fun late spring riding up around lake city, Indy pass/collegiates, jones, etc. think roads/access that is shaded or northerly facing to get you to high alpine zones.

Ok, it's raining everywhere, the Mesa is toast. Where can one still go and ride without destroying his sled? Really wanting to o one more time this weekend.

Montezuma was looking good on Sunday. Jones Pass tends to hold snow late into the spring and even summer. Hopefully the hot weather this week isn't destroying the snow pack.

Plenty left when I get back there in 10 days mebeee

Snotel is making it seem like all the hills are toast.

still looks pretty darn good over here. This was lunch break yesterday, planning on riding on sunday.

Still more coverage up high than there was in february without a doubt.

Right now there are things covered that almost never get covered because of the last few storms coming in warm, without much wind, so it stuck in abnormal places.

Keep in mind, you're not even looking at the high stuff here, can't even see Jones in this pic.

went out with Bparks on sunday... still more snow than 2 month ago, and we were riding fresh, also snowed all day on us, and snowed today as well.

I've been riding the dirtbike about 2 hrs a day lately, but it's definitely not summer up here yet. Went out with Denver R1 on friday, and we got snowed out of each way up the hill!!

Most of the S facing stuff is pretty clear... but N facing is still pretty snowy even at lower elevations. (below 9500 or so)
