We're not done yet, but it's melting fast... Either way this past weekend was a lot of fun up there! Drove about a mile past Tree Phones and unloaded at the first drift that we couldn't drive over. I anticipate we just might be able to drive to Eagle's Nest by this next weekend, if not, it'll be close.

Anyway, here's the goods:face-icon-small-coo

There's about 4 ft of snowpack left on the flats... not as much as I was expecting, it is melting FAST! The Super Bowl is actually holding up pretty good for as much melting is going on everywhere else. Don't get me wrong, that week of mid 90s in town really cost us a LOT of snow up there, but there was still lots of fun to be had on our 700s!:face-icon-small-hap

Snow level's hanging around 5500 ft tonight... we COULD have some fresh greeting us tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D

Went up for a ride yesterday and had a good time, snow was pretty setup right off the bat, but started softening up nicely by afternoon... we even got snowed on for a few hours!

Met a friend up there too, and he wasn't even scared of us!

Snow softened up nicely and I got credit for the best stuck of the day!

More fun as the snow softened

Then the kid in all of us came out and we decided to try to roll this snow-boulder down the hill!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately I didn't get the roll on tape, it moved before I could get the camera started and only slid about 10 ft.... it was a pretty fun time though!

LMAO!!!!!

I love it! I never imagined a track could hook up that well on hardpack. There were several times yesterday when I thought I was going to flip it over backwards because it bit in so hard. The only thing that hurts worse than my cheeks from smiling all day, is my shoulders from holding on all day! I just wish I could have got a couple wheelie pics.... have to do that next time!

Tampico ride

My son and I went Saturday to the Big bowl in Yakima. We made it to Eagles Nest with the truck and unloaded there. There was 1 other truck when we got there about 9:30 and when we got back @ 2, there were 7 trucks there. Snow was good with about 6" of fresh at the top but it was sticky. I am rebuilding my 900 RMK clutch this week so of course I will need to try it out this weekend..... There will be snow left for sure.

Thanks for the report! It looks like you're still turning around right on the road or is the driveway into the lookout (by the sign) melted out yet?

We didn't go up this weekend but are planning our last ride of the season for next Saturday.

Headed up in the morning, should be a good time! Gonna make the call tomorrow if it's worth one more trip after this or not. The super bowl still looks surprisingly white from town, but only time will tell:clock:

Saturday June 1st

Six of us went up Saturday and had a good time playing in June snow:D Started out pretty hard but softened up very nicely once the sun came out. I didn't take much for pics but I did get a couple.

Planning 1 more trip for next weekend... after that I think we're gonna put them away, it's getting pretty thin up there and the forecast is calling for a heat wave this week:(

Pic of the SuperBowl and hidden bowls from the NE from Foundation Ridge on Sunday (06/02/13) afternoon at about 5pm'ish. Photo is taken from an elevation of 6170'. Still a few snow patches left in this location. Got bored (ie wifey was studying again) so took a quick jaunt on the Teryx. Was about 9 road miles from my house and 5.6 nautical miles from my place. Still looks like good coverage but the pic shows mostly northern exposure. I think Seth and the boys might even get another 2 weekends if you can locate a large enough patch or 2!

The picture shows (from the left going right) the superbowl (foreground)>Tieton Peak and Bear Creek Mtn in the right background.

Pretty darn sure we saw you guys heading west on 24 that morning. We were commenting that we figured you were going to that exact spot!

Hummmm, how long of a drive is it from Seattle? Im desperate enough to try and make it happen lol

Dude, just go to Baker, the snow bridge should still hold out for another week or so. Big House even has some untouched snow!

Headed up tomorrow for the last ride... I don't see it being worth it, or safe, to go any more. Here's what the Super Bowl is looking like... seems a whole lot browner than this time last week.....:(
