I did the leveling kit so anyone out there been through this drill? My wife (yes my wife) always teases me about leaving all my trucks with the stock wheels and tires. I'm considering giving in and going with some aftermarket wheels/tires. Any help would be great as I'm really green on this whole subject. I've talked to the tire store guys and their pretty weak on giving me a confident answer. Heck, post some pictures. As long as we don't live in the same town maybe I'll just copy you're set up.....

I just did a 2012 duramax. And what I did was a leveling kit and 33-12.50-20 toyo mt with 20" chrome BMF novacanes. Looks awesome. I have also done 275-20s and even gone up to 295s with more minor trimming.

Ironically I was looking at the black 20 Novakanes. What about the offset though? Will they stick way out and spray?

I went with 275/70R18 Toyo MT's on mine. I could have gotten 285's, but it was going to rub so I decided to go with these. Any bigger, and I would have needed a 6" lift.

That's a nice looking set up. What brand of wheels are those?

I just put 275/70R18 Good Year Ultra Grip Ice studded tires (on factory wheels) on my stock height 2012 GMC 2500HD. No rubbing anywhere.

Those are a Fuel brand wheel and they make some sick wheels. I am a dealer for fuel and BMF and RBP. I have ran them all with great success. Honestly with a nice pickup like urs I would go with a 0 offset then ur not fighting rocks and road grim all the time. Hope this helps. I'd love to sell u some Toyos and wheels. 2011 and up have bigger fender wells then 2008-2010. I think you could go as big as a 35 but might have to do some trimming. Do a search on duramaxforums.com for 35s on a leveling kit.

Just did mine too big 275/65/r20

2.5" leveling kit on 2012 gmc crew 1500, these are a 34' tire, cut the fender and they still rub on the plastic inner fender cover. If you go 20' don't go bigger than 33" tires. Last pickup had 33" tires and they rubbed- but no leveling kit on that once. so the limit is 33" tires with leveling kit, any bigger have to have a 4" lift minimum

on a 2013 chev 2500hd we did a 2 inch level kit in the front and put 275/65/20's on it with moto metal 962s. slight trimming on the rear part of the front fender well but man, it looks really nice. i'll see if i an dig up a pic

Pic would be great. I called this week to order the BMF Novakanes. Backordered until late January. Bummed.

Here's my set up 33 12.50 r20 with a leveling kit. Xd spy rims wrapped in the nitto trail grappler. Really like these tires.

Not good on the snow/ice unless they're siped. IMO the best winter tires are bfg a/t or Goodyear duratrac...have ran both and never had any problems
