No injuries, all are safe but it sounds like one snowmobile was lost. They will be going back in the spring to locate it.

Island Park search and rescue said it was the largest slide they had seen in 20 years.

That's a nasty wet slide in a terrain trap chute. Wow.

WOW.. those pics are wild. Ive seen some sleds after going through slides. Obviously there is some obligation to getting your sled out of the woods but, I wouldn't expect anything rideable to come out of it. Here's hoping for the best though.

Definitely enough to do you in....but i that's the largest slide someone has....they get a LOT bigger....

What stands out for me on these pictures is the gouging nature of the snow on the terrain. Reminds me of how glaciers gouge rocks, but in a much smaller scale.
