We have are heading out and will be staying in Laramie this weekend. A couple of us love microbrews and are wondering about some cool pubs to hang out at after coming down from the mountain at night. I See there are a couple of brew pubs in laramie. Any suggestions?

I'm sure the local Laramie guys will chime in on this, but I have had good luck at the Altitude Brewpub.

The Library on Grand Ave has great microbrews and made in house. They always have one of their beers on tap at the Bear Tree in Centennial when you come off the mountain. Problem is you never know which one.

Altitudes is on 2nd st and brews some good beer as well. A restaurant on 1st street named LoveJoys isn't a brewery but has Altitude beer on tap.

That is the only two in Laramie.

Thanks for the info. We usually stay in Centennial but thought we would do Laramie this time. Like stoping at the bar in Centennial on the way down the hill. And I am sure we will again.

Both already mentioned, The Altitude and The Library, Library has real good pizza too.

Are you going out to Ride or Drink??? Have a Safe trip Randy, We leave for the Snowies in 9 days!!!!

Well we won't be killing it but probably will go for dinner and a couple drinks before turning in for the night. I mean you get off the mountain pretty early.

I second the library. Nice place with good beer.

Library and Altitudes for beer. But you have to stop at coppers and try a coppers popper and maybe a moscow mule at the roughed up duck

When I was in college we went to the Library ALL the time (pretty much every Monday night). I still go there at least once a year during football season when we are up there for a game for a beer or seven.

I always forget that they serve food there, usually we were just there playing darts and drinking. I'll have to swing by for dinner one of these trips.

Coppers poppers... only about once a year to remind myself why i DONT drink them.

Buds Bar is a little bar on the west side of the tracks. They have some really cold beer on a regular basis!! Their Bloody Marys are KILLER!!

Are the Bloody Mary's at Bud's better than the ones at the Alibi?

Does anyone remember another bar on the west side - Sins? The fishbowl drinks that they served there would absolutely crush people. Too bad they turned that place into a bait shop :)

Sins and their fishbowl margaritas were a baaaaad combo if you had to drive back across town, or anywhere for that matter.

Buds is our little hole in the wall where on friday after work some of the locals gather to see if we can agree on what time we,re headed up sat. Used to be called safety meetings. Don't stay too long anymore we,re getting old!

Correction, they weren't margaritas. They were long island ice teas, after a couple probably didn't know what the hell they were!

No kidding! I'm sure those bartenders just mixed in whatever they had around at the end of the night.

Bud's bar is a great bar & good mexican food at Chelo's across the street.

Bud's bar, scene of one of my more embarrassing bar moments. Started out innocently enough, work out at the rec center, lunch at the Thai restaraunt; uhh.......walked over to the Buckhorn for a couple, off to the Elks for I think a couple........math is getting a little fuzzy at this point.....on to Buds. I'd have sworn there were backs on the stools, but after I leaned back.........KERPLOP.......staring at the ceiling, thank gawd I wasn't driving!

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
I only laugh so hard cuz Ive done that myself in the SAME bar!! Good thing it has carpet!!
