i think thats the dividing line between urban and rural area's of the usa, these idiots have no idea what freedom there giving up nore do they care, that big eared idiot in the whithouse will take care of me mentality.
I'd like to do this too.
I hafta try it. LOL
PJ, tell me what is Montana would prevent me from that. I don't know...just asking.

Because I don't think you have enough population dumb enough to do that. Montana is pretty conservative right? You don't have the awful Liberal influence that we have in Colorado, meaning Boulder and Denver.
I was wondering the same thing. I live in a smaller city and we have a web site for the city, and there's a lot of us on there trading and selling guns all the time. Some of the folks around town think it should be banned because you can buy guns so easy LOL. Hope they don't go to any of our gun shows around here, cause you can by a gun there with out even telling anyone your name. Don't know if I would get much reaction out of anyone but I might as well be the first to try instead of sitting here thinking why didn't I try that LOL
I follow what you are saying. Makes sense.
We have a fairly liberal western part of the state. Pain in the arse.
Might be able to make it work.
Lol.
So what do we say in our ad so they know their gun isn't just "going back onto the street"?

^what if the gun is stolen or used in a murder? I wouldn't want a gun like that I don't care if they paid me to take it.
Just sayin'. Your not gonna get people who bought their guns legally to hand them over to you. It will be the crooks.

Don't wanna know? Don't ask. It's the crook that's evil, not the gun.
Set your own terms.
If they won't give you their name and address, then you don't have to take their gun in.
It wouldn't bother me that the gun was used to kill, I would be more concerned about the legal ramifications of having a gun used to commit a crime. I guess no one would just walk up and look at the serial number on my gun to cross reference it with crimes or anything, but still. It is like buying a used sled if it is stolen would you want it even if it is super cheap?
That kinda defeats the no questions asked thing, which is what draws them in.
I don't think you would have to worry about it unless you plan on using it for a crime yourself and getting caught. That being said, there really isn't a way for them to cross reference the SN# to a crime. Because guns used in a crime and collected as evidence aren't put back out on the streets. They either remain in a police locker or are destroyed. Only in Hollywood do they end up on the street again. And secondly, if a guy is willing to turn in a gun chances are that it is not registered and doesn't have a ballistics record. Most guns with a ballistics record are already in evidence and are being used as a cross reference to find other possible crimes committed with the same weapon. I'd think that you are pretty safe unless you rob a store with it, get caught and then they check ballistics and nail you for the other crimes. But simplly put, keep your nose clean. Buying, selling or trading guns privately is not illegal. Why do you think there are gun trader websites?
