Knock sensor
I have a 860 that had the same problem, first over heat and then knock sensor would appear. I don't do my own motor or tuning work but I know Motor Tech the shop that works on it, changed out the thermostate and I haven't seen the problem since. It would only do it on the trail, not at elevation.
I'm very happy with the motor, it runs super smooth, zero problems and very strong.
