last screw to come out and it spins from the back whats a guy to do?

Had the same thing happen on a few of them. I pulled the stud out, heated it up with a torch just hot enough to remelt the plastic to create a new bond, reinsert stud, let cool and it's working like new.


P.S. Use the torch away from gas tank

Had problems with mine. Have used velcro (industrial strenth) no problems since. Clean surfaces first. Run in -15 degrees and they hold. Three years using this method after studs kept turning.

This was comon on 06 M7

using a screw driver Get behind the plastic so as to pry screw out as you use a drill with bit to screw out. This should pry the nut setter out. Then once out the you just need to JB weld it back in. Does this make sense?
