Klim Pants or Bibs?

Just wanting to hear what some of you have to say about this. Always had bibs but found a good deal on some klim pants. Anybody get a bunch of snow down the back with pants? Would you buy pants again or go back to bibs?

I have a pair of Klim Free ride Pants and I love them, so much more movement over bibs. If your jacket has a snow skirt or is tight against your body, you won't get snow down your back! I would recommend getting them for sure

I like bibs because I crash alot and help other get unstuck. I am always crawling around in the snow. The pants tend to creep around and eventually end up with snow in them. My wife likes pants for easy access to let out her beer. Just my .02

I have had a couple pairs of pants and went to bibs because of snow getting pushed up my back, but I think the jackets I have had were part of that I think it would work with the right coat. one other plus to the bibs is that if you rae digging out a stuck sled you could take of your coat to cool off if you want, do that with pants and you are soaked

I've mainly used pants, but always had to keep pulling them up and adjusting the waist. I wasn't getting much, if any, snow in, but it was a pain to keep them from drooping down. I have bibs now, and notice a HUGE difference in comfort throughout the day...

if you found a deal on klim pants, i say get them! there awesome pants
i love them!!!

Ditto! I started out with the Klim Towg bibs and switched to the Klim Free Ride pants. I did have to get a GOOD pair of suspenders for them though, as they would not stay up. I wear a B-Wear chest protector and with the bibs I was always to hot. I really like wearing the Free Rides and would never go back to my bibs, which is why they've been hanging in my closet for the last 2 years. I also wear the Klim Valdez jacket and have never had a problem with snow going down my back while wearing the pants.

Yeah I have Klim bibs now....just getting pretty worn out. The pants look like they would be WAY more comfortable. Bibs seem to get all bunched up in the stomach and chest with all the layers. Do the Free Ride pants have a way to tighten around the waist so they stay up a little better? or belt loops? Another Bib I was looking at was the Extreme. It looks like they are shorter....more like pants with suspenders. Anybody try those?

I've got the HMK bibs....they work awesome! Very impressed.

Free Ride Pants

I have the free ride pants and they are great. Yes you can adjust them to stay up. Its really a resonal preference.

Bibs are normally warmer as they help hold in core heat, pants normally offer more range of motion without restriction. It all depends on where/when/how you ride. I'll stick with my Togwotee bibs for our dry powdery snow and -20 to +20 riding temps.

I wear the Free Ride pants, I'd never go back to bibs for anything but playing with the kids outside!

I love my tog bibs. Need to play with the suspenders as the little plastic clip is currently right on my clavical, hurts like a mofo when wearing my heavy backpack!

I prefer the bibs, keeps you warmer, no restriction on range of motion

if you get the right size, I like mine 1 size larger than the normal fit, less restrictive, but holds internal heat better, Pants tend to bunch up more, and creep up squishing the twig and berries

I have both klim extreme bibs and klim freeride pants. I like the bibs just because I dont have to worry about them falling a little and getting powder in them but when it comes spring time and thats not so much a issue I rock my freeride pants. Its alot more easier to move around on the sled and works good.

Keep in mind you might wanna try on a pair of klim pants and bibs before purchase. My pants and bibs are different sizes to fit right.
