Klim F4 helmet reviews

This helmet is made to vent. Even with the Gore liner it breaths better than other helmets.
I have not had a problem with any goggles. I ride with Scott's, 509, Spy, Smith's, there all different, but they seem to fit just fine for me.
I have broke a few fins, but I had to hit them pretty hard so I can't say they break easy. As a general rule I don't try to hit my head on stuff when riding snowmobile's or bike's so I don't see this as a big deal.
Yes, I think they are worth the money. This helmet is rated up with the best. As far as I know it's not any more expensive than any helmet of the same quality. Is it necessary to spend this much money to protect your mellon, probably not, but I've been told the recession is over so before the depression starts you might as well spend what you got.

I bought one last year and I love it! Keeps my head nice and cool. I've broken a fin on mine as well, but its because I'm stupid and don't duck far enough for trees! Other then that, great helmet!

I wear the summer liner in mine all year........I tried the winter liner on a couple of rides when it was in the -20 range when we unloaded and after about 30 minutes of playing, i was swapping back to the summer liner.....but I do wear a klim baclava as well, so maybe that is the difference.

I really like this helmet and will end up with another one..... just has a better fit for me and is lighter than others I have had. It is a bit more money, but not out of line from other quality helmet brands IMO

Hey Guys, I appreciate the feedback. Two of my buds bought 'em, but are yet untried. Based on what I'm hearing; Scotts will fit, they really do vent well and they're worth it...I'll start shopping around. :beer;

I've been using mine summer and winter too. Works great for off road and tight trail use. The tree thing can be an issue as mentioned :rolleyes: Great on the supermoto. The venting definitely works as advertised.
Sizing is pretty accurate, but they tend to run somewhat narrow. They have addressed this to some extent on the new ones. They do sit kinda high on your head. In 2 years of use, I just put the windstopper liner in for the first time. Normally, snowmobiling I wear a balaclava, so I've never been cold. Gets a little chilly without one though when you are clipping along on the dirt bike this time of year. :D

I love it, and can't add on much to what the others have said, but:

Does it keep your melon sweat free? It depended on the situation for me, but I don't sweat nearly as bad as my previous HJC's
- Yes the vent trim can break. Have heard and seen this from contact with branches, etc.
- Haven't run Scott goggles, but have absolutely no complaints with the Pro Vue Smith goggles. (I use both the standard, and vented set)
- I'm glad I made the purchase, and have no regrets.
