... Winter Storm Watch in effect from late tonight through late
Sunday night...
... Snow Advisory will expire at 4 am PST early this morning...

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Winter
Storm Watch... which is in effect from late tonight through late
Sunday night. The Snow Advisory will expire at 4 am PST early
this morning.

Snow has tapered off to light snow showers this morning. The Snow
Advisory will be allowed to expire. Light snow showers may
continue to impact travel into the late morning.

A stronger storm will move into the area after midnight tonight.
Snow and rain will increase again overnight. Snow levels will
be near 4500 feet tonight through Sunday afternoon... before they
drop rapidly below 3000 feet Sunday night. Four to six feet of snow is
possible above 7000 feet by late Sunday night... with two to three feet
above 5000 feet. 8 to 14 inches of snow may fall down to 3000 feet
late Sunday afternoon into Sunday night. Gusty south to southwest
winds up to 50 mph may create occasional white-out conditions in
blowing snow over the passes Sunday and Sunday night. Snow will
taper off to scattered snow showers Monday morning.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
