King Cat reliability with pipe and can?

I'm thinking of buying an 04' King cat that has a pipe and can. I'm buying it as a back up sled/loaner sled. I think these sleds are pretty reliable stock, but how are they with a pipe and can? And since it's an 04' I assume it's carb? Any other suggestions on what to look at on it?

If it is an SLP single set-up just as reliable as stock, many dealers installed these when new. They do spin higher RPM's than stock (7700 RPM) so this is where the only extra wear and tear would come from. Mike

Yes, 2004 King is carbed. If you are running carbs, we had the best luck running the ZR900 needle which is just a pinch richer. Helped with the lean mid range, which was more prevalent on the twin setups than the single. Non-the-less, the single pipe was a reliable option.

Have an SPI single ans Speedwerx can on my o4 MC900 and the oly issue ive had is shoving my brand new 162'' through the rails last year lol so ya id say buy it!
