Kill switch tether problem

I have a 16 axys with a pro armor tether. It works great in the garage but once I get riding the kill switch does not like to work. It may work right away and it may take 10-30 seconds to work. Also the tether does not like work even in the garage.
I don' even know where to start.

Is the tether tied into the kill switch or into the factory plug?

I’d throw the pro amour tether in the garbage and get a magnetic tether.

Mine was finicky. Replaced with a Polaris tether

Yes, when the tether was pulled sometimes the plunger would close or would be stuck/frozen and allow the sled to continue running.
