Keys in truck and Battery DEAD.

Does anyone no how to open the hood on a 2008 Ford Superduty, I left all my **** plugged in and killed the battery, keys are in the truck and the keypad wont work.

I think the starter sol is on the starter so you should be able to hook jumper cables to the battery cable at the starter and charge the battery enough to work the door keypad.Just make sure I am right,if the starter solinoid is not on the starter and you hook jumper cables to the starter the starter will try to engage.

Take a coat hanger a straighten in out. Next sharpen the tip to a point. Then put a ½” bend on the sharpen end 90 deg or a bit more. Now going fishing for the door lock plunger be careful not to rip the door seal. Go through th side to the door jam. Also you will scratch the paint a little bit in the door jam area. Good luck

If you have a lariat with the factory anti theft you won't be able to unlock from the lock switch 30 seconds after you shut the door. Don't ask how I know

You can test your truck by sitting in the seat, taking the keys out of the ignition, locking the doors and shutting them...wait about a min and try to unlock with the button...my truck won't let you.
It also has a neat feature that if your keys are in the ignition and you lock and shut the drivers door it automatically unlocks it after you shut it. found out the hard way it doesn't work if you lock and shut the passenger door

most have a smart chip in them but you can still use a dummy cut like your key to open the door, it just wont start the truck. good to tape to the bottom radiator hose with black tape just for this occasion
