Keeping goggles free of fog!

For anyone wearing glasses I would recommend one of the following:

1. Ouzo Eliminator Combo OUZO is our Over the Glasses goggle. It can be worn over almost all eye glasses. It has a larger interior volume which helps prevent fogging. Paired up with the Eliminator it does a pretty good job. I would try using it as is. If you still fog try a fog treatment on your EYE glasses only.

2. ANY OF OUR GOGGLES as well as the Optical Insert. This thing is inexpensive at $25. It will fit any of our goggles with or without the Eliminator and many other brands of goggles as well. You take it to your optometrist and have them insert lenses. I am having one fitted for myself now, for I have to be out of my contacts for and extended period.

What is especially nice about the insert is that it can easily be swapped from goggle to goggle. You are not stuck with one goggle or even one set of lenses like other companies.

Our son wears glasses under his goggles. He runs a set of highlines with the eliminator in them. He has had very few problems. He tells me the trick is to keep that eliminator running from the get go.

We were going to go with the optical insert but you would still need to carry an extra set of glasses with you for when you take your goggles off. One thing about the optical insert if you find that it isn't fitting properly or is pushing the lens out at the bottom of your goggle simply take the telescoping post right out to get the proper fit. You will have to tug on it a bit but it will come out.

You can find all of the eliminator goggles at this link:

One pair on, one pair under the hood cookin, one pair in the pack.

I used to do that, plus one more in my inside jacket, them my son bought me a pair of smith turbofans. Now I just wear the same pair all day, although I do carry an extra pair with a different lens in my pack in case of emergency(like strap break or something) :face-icon-small-hap

is it hard to spread the cream in the goggle? How much just a dab?
%%%% Well if it's any help on how much to use, we've been riding together and for the last 10 years I think he's carried the same can of shaving creme with him for those 10 years !! >>>>. And you cat's thought I was BULL****ing all of ya !!!! >>>>.

goggle tech

Hey new guy here - finally figured out what they were referring to as SW in the other forums. btw - was looking for a forum with more stoke and found it here:rockon:

anyways - most lenses come with a factory anti-fog coating on the inside, this coating can be removed easily by either touching it with bare hands, and/or wiping it when wet or fogged. only clean the inside of the lens when dry and with a non-abrasive material (goggle bag).

is fogging happening when riding or stopped ? whenever i stop riding i take my goggles off right away, and i carry around a lens cloth to clean snow off the outside of em, i usually leave on my bars outside lens up, unless its really snowing.

vented face wraps work, but i hate them. like the other dudes say - change your breathing habits when your stopped. if they fog on ya while riding - either stand up or cut your windshield down, if that doesnt work then its the darth vader look for you

i own a lot of goggles, but have found the crowbar mx's with single clear lens to work the best, replacement lens are $9 - cheapest on the market. i find that double lenses are more prone to fogging.

hope this helps - rob

One of my roomates snowboards and i borrowed a pair of his Electric brand goggles and didn't have any problems all weekend with fogging.
