The video lists the sled as an 1100T?

That is the best video of handlebars I have ever seen

interesting.....

Does he have a thumb flipper throttle or one he runs by his index finger? It sure looks like he uses his finger.

He sure makes that "too heavy to ride in the mountains" 4s turbo dance.

I cant wait to see that thing fly. Not sure if there is anyone going as big as KJ these days.

Sweet vid

ya he rocks the finger setup.

Yeah.... all of us "good riders" run finger throttles....:face-icon-small-win

Only suckers who would pay for a premium membership & trail fairies ride with thumb throttles :face-icon-small-sho:face-icon-small-sho

Smack talk aside, try it for one full day & you'll never go back. Everyone who rides with us has switched to finger throttle, it's just far better for controlling the sled. You can maintain a full grip on the bars & still modulate the throttle. It'll take a few hours to feel normal, you might need to move the block slightly inboard, but it's worth it.

I certainly don't fall in the category of a "sucker" or "trail fairy" so I must know where to get said finger throttle. Details details details please..:face-icon-small-hap

ive ran one, works well. If you do something, like hit something and get your balance thrown back, you can grab a fist full of throttle and make the situation worse.......

I had one on a sport quad, did a wheely.......went a bit too far back and my body fell back and i pulled wide open on the throttle and did a full throttle wheely on my back bumper skidding down the road. I bailed and my quad went on a ghost ride into a shed.

Exactly why i always have a thumb throttle and never lost a thumbwar in highschool:pray:

I would assume this happened to you soon after switching?

If you were to fall back... you've got the rest of your hand (the other 4 fingers) to hold onto the bars. The whole point of the finger throttle is that it eliminates accidental pulls from happening. Been running one for 6 years now & have NEVER pulled by accident since I switched from thumb throttle.

It also changes your hand position on the bars, when you lean out, gone is the "wrap under" you have to do sometimes, you always have the throttle right there even when yanking from just that side of the sled.

As to the how,

Loosen the throttle block, rotate it the way that will cause less bind in the hand warmer wire, sometimes you need to open up the hole for the warmer wire or pull the wire under the grip a bit to the right angle, but not every time.

Easy, free, and reversible. Get used to it using one finger first, till you get the feel for it, then when on bigger pulls you will sometimes use two.

Yes, it'll take a bit of getting used to, but you won't go back if you give it some time (at least I've never had anyone go back, including a few that have been sledding their whole lives.)

I went back to the thumb throttle Kaleb :face-icon-small-ton

I always got so much crap from everyone saying it was so dangerous. Might give it another shot.

boooooo booooo....:face-icon-small-ton

Dangerous... I lost my sled a few times with thumb, never have with finger.

btw, hand guards are a good idea if you run finger.

I would do the finger throttle...But I can't seem to get it to work with my mittens on! :D

welll... ok, there are SOME limitations!!!:face-icon-small-win :D

it's not for everyone... just us AUSM riders :face-icon-small-ton:face-icon-small-ton:face-icon-small-ton

I just feel it's worth giving a try, but a REAL try, not 10 min, give it a real day.

If you don't like it... not gonna hurt anybody... switch back!
