Going to switch to a narrower front end, either the new 37" from K-Mod or Polaris's Burandt edition 36". Has anyone tried either? What are your thoughts?

Don't know about the Burandt edition A-arms, but I do know you can use your stock shock with the K Mod arms. I believe most 36" arm require the shock length to be changed (shortened).

I've run Z-Broz, Alternative Impact and now K-Mod, but no experience with the Burandt edition ones.

The one thing with Z-Broz and Alternative Impact is that you have to take parts from the stock a-arms and switch over to the new ones. Not a huge deal but they are not a true unpack and bolt on.

K-Mods are a true unpack and bolt on and they fit great!!!

Fit and finish on the K-Mods are probably a tick above Z-Broz and Alternative Impact but that's not staying they are substandard. Just staying the K-Mods are really nice!

All three companies are great to deal with and I would say Kevin at K-Mod and Dan at Alternative Impact have some of the best customer service out there, so shout out to both of them!!

One thing with K-Mod is that Kevin actually worked with Jake at Raptor Performance and came up with the design on the K-Mod front end. This front end is truly top notch and you can tell when you look it over.

Anyways, hope that helps a little

There is no parts reused from the stock front end on my alternative impact kit?!?

I should have checked but yes this is different from when I put my front end on my Pro. I see that now Dan does do a complete kit for the Axys, but the kit for the Pro is still the same. My bad.

Have the 37 K Mod and Raptors on my 17 Axys fit is second to none and it handles great. Would do this mod again very nice set up.

My Kmod kit seems very nice, welds look great, easy install, bolts right up.

I would stay away from the burandt stuff, looks like skinz parts- they make decent stuff but its ALWAYS backordered. Getting your first set will likely be tough, and getting a replacement in a pinch will likely be near impossible.

KMOD is my choice simply because I have had a set on my 16 Axys since the first ride last year. The product is well made, fits well, uses stock shocks and works as in makes the sled more nimble. They don't affect the trail ride at all in my opinion. I met the owner at the Idaho Snowmobile show last weekend. What a great guy. Their service is great and the product is very durable. I hit a solid piece of iron on top of a dam on the first ride last winter. It would have destroyed a stock A-Arm. It was slightly bent but I could still ride it. I did three rides before replacing it. Great product, great service. Can't say enough about how impressed I am with them.

Can anyone tell me if the AI arms, with stock AXYS shocks, give identical ride height as stock arms on the AXYS with the stock AXYS shocks?

.

Thanks guys, just put my order in with K-mod, I will let you know how they turn out after the first ride of the year.

I just run my stock axys front shock springs as soft as possible with the 36 inch kit.

Straight from an email conversation I had with Dan at alternative impact last season:

"Our kit does maintain stock geometry as well as the sway bar. The ride height is VERY slightly increased, were talking less than an inch."
